Violet Wurtzberger

I obtained my Masters in Co-occurring Recovery Disorders Counseling from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul. I am a dually licensed as both a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) as well as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the state of Minnesota. I have experience with trauma, stage of life changes, complicated grief, depression, anxiety and much more. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy to treat the symptoms of trauma.

I believe you are the expert in yourself. I like to think of therapy as a road trip; you are driving the car and I am in the passenger seat. I help you figure out where you want to go, organizing the tools you have and are learning. I may offer detours or alternative routes and this is your journey, meaning we don't go where you don't want to go.

My goal is for you to walk away from a session knowing you have taken a step forward toward your goals for therapy. One day you will no longer need therapy as you have gained the tools and insight to therapize yourself.
