Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Virginia. I started in the mental health field in August of 2018 as a case manager in a rural family services program. In this field, I built strong relationships with many families where a mutual trust was established through empathetic, empowering therapeutic relationships.

Earning my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling in 2022 allowed me to integrate education with experience to create a place of comfort for clients as they navigate through some of the most difficult yet rewarding times of their lives. I have worked with adults, adolescents, families, and couples as they build strength and resilience to navigate their ever-changing lives with confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered focusing on your unique needs. I have experience in the utilization of CBT, DBT, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and person-centered modalities while continuously improving and adding skills to my tool belt ensuring your needs are met. My approach has been referred to as warm, genuine, and understanding with people commenting on feeling comfortable being able to share anything with me while feeling understood, without fear of judgment.

What you can expect from me

The first session with you will focus on a discussion of the your goals including the desired outcome from the therapeutic process. This is a time for getting to know you from a holistic perspective and create a space where you also can feel comfortable to share your experiences.
