Great to meet you!

I am a licensed independent social worker who has been in the field for a decade. I received my bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary where I majored in psychology and Hispanic Studies. I completed my MSW at Boston College. I have extensive experience working with individuals facing major mental health challenges, social anxiety, gender dysphoria, depression, self-injurious behaviors, suicidality, and mood disorders. I have been primarily working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community over the last few years and have been able to assist many in feeling a sense of inclusion and acceptance. In addition, I have been able to connect with parents and guardians in navigating this challenging time.

My approach to therapy

The basis of my work has been patient-centered and strength-based. I find humor and honesty to be my main approach when it comes to connecting and building rapport with clients. I see the client as the captain of the ship and I am here to assist you in navigating the waters. I believe in a strengths-based approach and pushing my clients to achieve their goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect that their first session that they will get to understand how I perform therapy and will also be able to communicate what goals they would like to achieve with me.
