Great to meet you!

I graduated in 2016 from NC Central University with two master's degrees in counseling (one in mental health, and the other in career counseling). In addition, I am a Ph.D. candidate at NC State University where I study associations between neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, dyslexia, etc.), identity, career/educational development, and our overall wellness.

Counseling is a passion for me and not just a career. I have worked in corporate, higher ed, non-profits, and now I work for myself so I can be creative in the work I do for individuals, communities, and organizations.

My belief is we are all brilliant and amazingly capable, but some of us just need a little extra help tapping into the core of ourselves. This is where I begin as a counselor. Together we will help you establish real goals, dive deep and process areas of pain and challenge, and empower you to be your whole, authentic, powerful self.

My approach to therapy

My approach is to begin by centering the client-counselor relationship, which means we need to get to know each other first.

After 7+ years of being a counselor, I am told sessions with me feel like "the most amazing an enriching conversations [clients] have ever had." And that is what I strive for, a deep, authentic, meaningful conversation where we can develop goals, process obstacles and challenges, and get creative to help you feel your best in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Clients I have worked with described their take-aways from our sessions as leaving with a deeper sense of self, a greater feeling of empowerment, an increased clarity about who they are and their relationships, and most importantly a desire to continue.

Therapy isn't always flowers and smiles. We get in the trenches and process the muck, but we do it together.
