Great to meet you!

I began my career in the mental health field after a mostly successful career in the consumer products business. As someone in long term recovery, I believe I am doing what I was called to do. I have been working in this field in one form or another since 2011. I have a private practice in Wilmington, NC and have worked with people of all ages with a wide variety of mental health, substance use issues as well as life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I am a very Person Centered Therapist which means I want to work on what you the client want to work on. I do not have a one size fits all approach. I also try real hard not to tell clients what to do. What I will do is share what my experience has been in situations. I believe clients have the answers to the questions they have and it is my job to help them get to the answers.

What you can expect from me

My hope is that at the end of the first session, every client I see will have the hope that there is a solution to their issue. It may take a while to get there, but they will know that I am now their biggest cheerleader in assisting them in finding the answers they are looking for.
