Great to meet you!

I believe some of the most meaningful healing happens when we have a safe place to fully be ourselves—to talk honestly about what’s really going on, make sense of our experiences, and begin imagining what life can look like moving forward.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in behavioral health, child welfare, healthcare, clinical leadership, and community-based practice. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, my Master of Social Work from North Carolina Central University, and my Doctor of Social Work from Simmons University. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through some of life's most challenging seasons. My clinical interests include grief and loss, stress, life transitions, relationship and family concerns, caregiver challenges, and helping people navigate periods when life simply feels overwhelming or uncertain.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, conversational, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are more than the challenges that brought you to therapy. I take a person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, creating space for you to explore your experiences while also identifying the strengths, relationships, values, and resources that can support your healing and growth. My role is not simply to give advice or tell you what you should do. I see therapy as a partnership. Ultimately, I want therapy to be a place where you can catch your breath, speak honestly, find clarity, and do meaningful work toward becoming healthier—not just getting through what you're facing, but discovering how you want to move forward.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is primarily about creating space for us to get to know one another. I strive to create an environment that is warm, relaxed, respectful, and free of judgment. There may be serious conversations, moments of reflection, and even some laughter along the way. Therapy is meaningful work, but I also believe there should be room for our humanity in the process.

Most importantly, I don't expect you to have everything figured out during our first session. We'll start our work together wherever you are.
