Great to meet you!

Navigating life can be difficult at times and often our mental wellbeing does not get prioritized as it should. I commend you for taking the steps to prioritize your mental health. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist with over 25 years in the mental health and substance abuse field. My experience is both with adolescents and adults who have problems managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma and other mental health challenges as well as addiction issues.

My approach to therapy

Vulnerability can be a scary thing and having an environment where you can be vulnerable and not be judged is important in the therapeutic setting. It is important to have a person-centered partnership in the therapeutic journey which allows for open communication. I will be there to empower you, listen to you, challenge you when needed and always support you.

What you can expect from me

The goal of the first session is to begin the rapport building which is essential in any therapeutic relationship. The opportunity for you to begin uncovering the layers of your story and what your goals of therapy will be is an important part of the first session. The goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where you feel heard. From there we will continue to build in future sessions that will enable the healing process to become a reality.
