Great to meet you!

About Me

Welcome! My name is William Galloway, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist with more than a decade of experience in behavioral health. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in outpatient therapy, inpatient psychiatry, crisis and emergency services, pediatric behavioral health, residential treatment, and community-based care. I enjoy working with teens, young adults, adults, and helping professionals who may be navigating anxiety, depression, stress, substance use, major life transitions, or simply feeling stuck and ready for something different.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, practical, and judgment-free. I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as yourself, speak openly, and feel supported while also being challenged to grow. I utilize an evidence based treatment in my practice to help you progress toward healing. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, so we’ll work together to understand your experiences, recognize your strengths, and develop tools that make sense for your life. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting—sometimes you just need a safe place to begin.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is eclectic, meaning I don’t believe one therapeutic approach works for everyone. Instead, I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to create an experience that fits your individual needs, goals, personality, and where you are in life. Together, we’ll explore patterns, identify strengths, build practical coping skills, and focus on meaningful changes that can extend beyond the therapy room.

I also believe therapy can be both meaningful and human. When appropriate, I incorporate music, creativity, personal interests, and laughter into our work together, where appropriate. Therapy doesn’t always have to feel overly clinical or heavy to be effective. My goal is to create a comfortable, authentic space where you can speak freely, feel heard, challenge yourself, and develop practical tools that support your growth and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect the intake process. This is where I take the time to get to know you, what brought you in therapy. I also explore your back story, social , emotional, medical , education and relational histories. This helps to to better understand how these experiences have shaped you. I will also begin to identify potential treatment plan topics, based on what you share you would like to work on. This is very much so a collaborative experience. I look forward to working with you and walking along side of you in your healing journey.
