Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a background in emergency medicine as a firefighter/paramedic. That experience shaped how I approach care—calm under pressure, practical, and focused on what actually helps people feel better.

I specialize in medication management and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, with a focus on treating the whole person—not just symptoms. I take into account both mental and physical health, and I work collaboratively with each patient to create a plan that feels realistic and sustainable.

My goal is to provide a straightforward, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and actively involved in your care. I prioritize clear communication, thoughtful prescribing, and making sure you leave each appointment with a plan that makes sense to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized. I take the time to understand each patient’s full picture—including symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals—before making treatment recommendations.

I focus on thoughtful, evidence-based prescribing and avoid a one-size-fits-all approach. When medication is appropriate, I aim to use the lowest effective dose and make adjustments carefully based on how you’re actually feeling, not just a checklist.

I also believe mental health care works best when it’s clear and straightforward. You’ll always know why a recommendation is being made and what the next steps are, so you can feel confident and in control of your care.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on getting a clear understanding of you as a whole person. We’ll go over your symptoms, medical and mental health history, and what’s been working—or not working—for you so far.

My goal is to create a comfortable, low-pressure environment where you can speak openly without feeling rushed or judged. You don’t need to have everything figured out ahead of time—I’ll help guide the conversation.

By the end of the session, we’ll have a clear plan moving forward. If medication is appropriate, we’ll discuss options and next steps. You’ll leave with a better understanding of what’s going on and a path that feels manageable and tailored to you.
