Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel awkward or scary, especially if you’ve never done it before or you’re worried about being judged. I get that. My style is warm, conversational, and real. No jargon or pressure, just a space where you can talk honestly about what’s going on and not feel like you have to filter yourself. Many of my clients are people who tend to hold things in, help everyone else first, or feel like they should have it all together. If therapy has always seemed intimidating, my goal is to make it feel like a genuine conversation, not a cross-examination.

I have helped clients through a wide range of issues, but I specialize in working with people who feel they have nowhere else to talk; creative minds who love books/film/music and want to bring it into therapy; teenagers; people who struggle with anger; and people who want a therapist who feels like a real person not a wall.

My approach to therapy

Whether you're new to therapy or returning to it, I aim to create a safe, empowering space where you feel heard and supported. I like to use humor and not have sessions feel to rigid or stuffy. I want you to feel like you're talking to a real person, not someone just checking a box. However, that doesn't mean our sessions will just be me holding your hand and coddling you. My style is collaborative, curious, and relaxed. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you or forcing you into someone else’s idea of normal. It’s about helping you understand yourself more deeply, build practical tools, learn how to identify and shift unhelpful patterns, and reclaim parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside. If you feel we may be a good fit, email me to schedule a consult call.

What you can expect from me

The first session mostly involves getting to know you. For full transparency, that's how it will be for the first several sessions. Trust me, patience is not my virtue, so I get how frustrating it feels to hear that things take time. But the reality is that I am not some all-knowing guru who intends to just tell you what you to do. I have expertise on therapy, but you have expertise on you, and both are needed for therapy to be effective. So, the first several sessions will mostly be learning more about you, so that we may better identify patterns and learn what works for you and what doesn't.
