Great to meet you!

I am a Doctorally prepared Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care. I believe in individualized treatment and collaborative care that promotes emotional wellness, stability, and improved quality of life. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.

I specialize in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions in children, adolescents, and adults, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. My practice is grounded in evidence-based care and a strong understanding of the social, cultural, and family dynamics that influence mental health. I provide comprehensive, personalized treatment plans that go beyond diagnosis and medication management, honoring each patient’s unique values, beliefs, and lived experiences.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychiatry is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on treating the whole person, not just symptoms. I take time to listen carefully and understand your experiences so we can create a treatment plan that fits your needs and goals.

I believe mental health care works best as a partnership. If medication is part of your treatment, I will explain your options clearly and involve you in every decision. I also encourage self-awareness and personal growth, because understanding your thoughts, behaviors, past experiences, and environment can lead to meaningful change.

My goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you feel supported. For patients who value faith or spirituality, I am open to including that in care. Together, we will focus not only on symptom relief, but also on building resilience, clarity, stability, and a healthier sense of direction in life.

What you can expect from me

My first session is a comprehensive evaluation focused on understanding you as a whole person. We will discuss your current concerns, personal history, and factors that may be affecting your mental health.

This session is also a chance for us to determine whether we are a good fit. I encourage you to ask questions and share your goals for treatment.

By the end of the visit, we will begin developing an understanding of your concerns and discuss possible next steps, including treatment options and whether medication may be beneficial.
