With an early passion in psychology, I moved from China to the US when I was 17. My experience as an Asian immigrant living in the U.S. enhanced my understanding of the humanity and struggles in all of us. Currently, I'm a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) in NY and FL, and a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in NJ. I'm also a Certified Gestalt Therapist.
Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Person-centered therapy are my main approaches. In sessions, we will stay in the present, and pay attention to how the past has impacted your current life. But just knowing the "why" is not enough, we will also explore and take risks in making actual changes in real life.
