Great to meet you!

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with 10 years of experience in family practice and primary care and 3 years of experience in psychiatric mental health care.

My diverse clinical background has shaped my understanding of the connection between physical, emotional, and mental well-being. I believe in treating the whole person, recognizing that each individual's health journey, experiences, and needs are unique.

I am passionate about helping adults and older adults navigate their mental health journeys in a compassionate, supportive, and judgment-free environment. I strive to build trusting relationships where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their concerns.

My approach to psychiatric care is individualized and evidence-based, with a focus on medication management, patient education, and collaborative treatment planning. I believe patients deserve to understand their treatment options and feel empowered to participate in decisions about their care.

Seeking mental health support is an important step, and you do not have to navigate the journey alone. My goal is to partner with you to support your mental wellness and help you work toward a healthier, more fulfilling life

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, holistic, and grounded in evidence-based practice. With 10 years of experience in family practice and primary care and 3 years in psychiatric mental health, I recognize the important relationship between physical health and emotional well-being.

I believe effective mental health care begins with listening, understanding each person's concerns, and building a trusting provider-patient relationship. I take time to learn about your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, current medications, lifestyle, and treatment goals so that care can be tailored to your individual needs.

I provide individualized psychiatric medication management and work collaboratively with patients to explore appropriate treatment options, discuss potential benefits and risks, and monitor progress over time. I also recognize that adults and older adults may have unique health considerations, including other medical conditions and medications that can influence treatment decisions.

My goal is to provide respectful, personalized care that encourages open communication, shared decision-making, and active participation in your mental health journey. I want you to feel supported, informed, and confident as we work together toward your treatment goals.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss your concerns, and begin developing a plan that supports your mental health needs. I strive to make our time together welcoming, comfortable, and free of judgment.

We will discuss what brings you to care, your current symptoms, relevant medical and psychiatric history, current medications, and previous treatment experiences. I will also invite you to share your concerns, questions, and goals so that I can better understand what matters most to you.

Drawing on my background in both primary care and psychiatric mental health, I consider the whole person when evaluating your needs, including how medical conditions and current medications may relate to your mental well-being.

Together, we will discuss appropriate treatment options and determine the next steps in your care. If psychiatric medication is appropriate, we will review potential benefits, risks, and side effects and develop an individualized plan based on your needs and preferences.

You do not need to have all the answers before your first appointment. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and supported, with a clear understanding of the path forward.
