Great to meet you!

When anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties start following you into everyday life, it can feel exhausting to keep pushing through while trying to appear like everything is okay. You may find yourself overthinking, feeling disconnected from people you care about, struggling to manage your emotions, or noticing that painful experiences from the past are still influencing how you feel today. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, relationship issues, and PTSD. These concerns can also overlap with family stress, grief or loss, stress management, women’s issues, or trauma, especially when several challenges are affecting your emotional wellbeing at once. Therapy can give you a space where you do not have to minimize what you are experiencing or navigate it alone. Together, we can understand what is underneath the patterns you are noticing, build on your strengths, and work toward greater stability, connection, and confidence in your life.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both what you are experiencing today and the relationships, emotions, and experiences that have shaped how you got here. We’ll explore how anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, relationship issues, and PTSD may be affecting your emotional wellbeing, sense of safety, and ability to feel connected to yourself and others. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in thoughts and behaviors that contribute to distress and practice healthier ways of responding, Solution Focused Brief Therapy to identify your existing strengths and turn the changes you want to make into manageable steps, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to build practical skills for managing intense emotions, tolerating difficult moments, and communicating more effectively. Compassion Focused Therapy can help you develop a kinder and less critical relationship with yourself, while Internal Family Systems can help you understand different parts of yourself with greater curiosity and compassion. Our sessions will be collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your individual needs, giving you space for deeper understanding while also developing tools you can use in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to arrive with a perfect explanation for what you are feeling or know exactly where therapy should begin. During our first few sessions, we will take time to understand what has been happening in your life, what has been most difficult, and what you hope will feel different. Together, we will develop goals that feel meaningful and realistic and decide where it makes the most sense to start. You can expect me to meet you with warmth, empathy, and respect while creating a space where you can talk openly about difficult emotions, relationships, and experiences without judgment. Progress may look like feeling less consumed by anxiety, developing greater stability when your emotions feel difficult to manage, reconnecting with yourself when depression feels heavy, improving important relationships, or feeling less controlled by painful experiences from your past. We will continue checking in on your goals and shape our work around what helps you feel more grounded, capable, and connected to yourself.
