Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over twenty years of experience who specializes in treatment for shame, grief, and trauma. I have worked in many different settings with people from a wide variety backgrounds. Although my recent focus has been working with individuals with complex PTSD, such as developmental and relational trauma, I enjoy meeting with people generally and will be responsive to any presenting issues that may be causing you distress.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with an emphasis on safety, attunement, and adapting to your background and present needs. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities but try to be responsive to emerging concerns from week to week. For trauma work, I often use a combination of somatic approaches, IFS Parts work, DBT skills, and EMDR.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will explore presenting issues, clarify expectations and interests, and be an opportunity for you to envision what could be different and some of the ways to get there in time.
