My name is Alma Babbitt, LPCC, LADAC, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and board-approved clinical supervisor in New Mexico. I have more than a decade of experience providing behavioral health services in community, correctional, substance use, and forensic settings. I hold a Master of Science in Psychology with concentrations in Clinical and Counseling Psychology and am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based interventions, substance use treatment, and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, substance use disorders, grief and loss, behavioral health concerns, and co-occurring mental health conditions. I also have extensive experience conducting forensic, developmental, psychological, and neuropsychological evaluations to assist with diagnosis, treatment planning, and legal matters.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to achieve meaningful change. I tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs, strengths, and goals, using proven therapeutic approaches to promote healing, personal growth, and long-term wellness.
