Great to meet you!

The road to becoming a counselor has been long and layered, shaped by over two decades of experience serving individuals in moments of vulnerability, strength, and transformation. From supporting adults with developmental disabilities and those facing housing instability, to working with individuals navigating the complexities of military life, each chapter has deepened my understanding of the human spirit. I’ve answered calls on suicide crisis hotlines, walked alongside survivors of domestic violence through the court process, and offered insight to clients working through anger during my pre-practicum training. These experiences cultivated a profound love for advocacy and a belief that healing is possible, even in the darkest places. Because of this journey, I show up as a counselor with unwavering compassion, grounded empathy, and an ability to meet people exactly where they are. I bring not only professional knowledge but lived insight—the kind that allows me to see and honor each client’s story truly. My faith in humanity’s resilience and my dedication to advocacy guide every interaction, helping clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

Grounded in a person-centered approach, I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where your voice leads the way. I incorporate motivational interviewing, positive psychology, and other techniques to support you in discovering your strengths, setting goals that resonate, and cultivating lasting well-being. With an open mind, I place your goals at the center of treatment every step of the way. You deserve to be heard, understood, and empowered, and I'm honored to walk alongside you on this journey.

What you can expect from me

I adopt a conversational and approachable style. Sessions are like thoughtful exchanges, encouraging free expression and ensuring clients feel heard. I listen deeply, ask insightful questions, and offer reflections to help clients connect the dots in their lives. Avoiding jargon and overly structured methods, I aim to create a space where clients can be themselves and comfortably explore their experiences. This approach fosters authenticity and builds relationships rooted in trust, openness, and mutual respect.
