Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Antonia. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Minnesota and Oregon and Colorado; and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the state of Washington. I am also a combat-veteran and have a personal understanding of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from my own obstacles faced and currently live a life of Post-Traumatic Growth. I have lived in various countries around the world and traveled abroad. In 2013 I studied yoga and mindfulness in the Himalayas of India at Kailash Tribal School of Yoga and Holistic Healing. I am a yoga teacher specialized in Trauma-Informed Yoga and also Certified in Integrative Medicine & Nutrition for Mental Health and Trauma Treatment. My treatment approach is client-centered, eclectic & strengths-based within an evidence-based framework. I offer treatment options in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Narrative Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/1667608

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a collaborative effort and my goal is to support you towards attaining your therapeutic goals. As your therapist, I am here to actively listen, acknowledge, and process with you. I believe when we pause and allow ourselves to reflect on our story, acknowledge our obstacles faced, and process our journey, we harvest growth and wisdom from within.

From a client-centered perspective, yogic movement, mindfulness meditation, and nutrition are also supplemented into the session if this lines up with your treatment goals. I work with Individuals 18+ and Couples. My specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, military life/culture, LGBTQIA+ issues, race & cultural issues, somatic issues, relationship issues, and personality disorders

What you can expect from me

It’s important to me to provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space to show up to. During our first session, I hope to start building a therapeutic relationship with you and rapport. I hope to begin getting to know you and start learning about your history. We don’t need to deep dive yet, it’s our first session and invite you to share what you are comfortable sharing. It’s also important for me to understand your therapeutic experiences. I hope to learn about your symptoms and how they impact you on a daily basis. It’s also important for me to learn what your therapeutic goals are so we can begin to collaborate towards a plan that works best for you!
