Great to meet you!
Hi, I’m Ashley, therapist, animal lover, creative soul, and lifelong daydreamer. I bring a warm, down-to-earth approach to therapy and believe that connection, curiosity, and authenticity are at the heart of healing.
I specialize in working with millennial women and high-achieving professionals who appear successful on the outside but feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are helpers, therapists, creatives, and driven professionals struggling with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, chronic self-doubt, relationship stress, or the lasting effects of trauma. I integrate Brainspotting, Jungian depth therapy, attachment-focused work, and nervous system regulation to help clients address the root causes of distress, not just the symptoms. Together, we explore how patterns formed, build tools for regulation, and create space for meaningful, lasting change. Therapy is not about fixing you. It is about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that adapted to survive and helping you move forward with greater self-compassion and authenticity.
When I’m not in session, you can usually find me with a good book, especially fantasy, romantasy, or dark romance. I’m a proud BookTok girly, and some of my favorite reads have come from client recommendations. I also love paper crafting, particularly junk journals and mini albums, and my music tastes range from Sleep Token to George Strait to Eminem.
Animals have always been a grounding force in my life. I’ve been riding horses since I was four, and my heart horse, Kirby, is my trail-riding companion and snack-sharing best friend. My two dogs, Oliver and Dottie, are certified therapy dogs who have joined me in visits to hospices, hospitals, nursing homes, and children’s reading programs. Together, they inspired the name Free to Wander Counseling, a reflection of my belief that healing often begins when we give ourselves permission to explore, connect, and grow.
