Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) with over 15 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges. I hold a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and have worked in both university and community settings, supporting clients through trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, women's issues, and personal growth. I have a special passion for working with college students, women, communities of color, and individuals navigating major life changes. Trained in EMDR, DBT, and Trauma-Focused CBT, I take a compassionate, culturally responsive approach to care and strive to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to heal.

My approach to therapy

I take a warm, collaborative approach and tailor therapy to each person's unique needs. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to be honest, explore their experiences, and try new ways of thinking and coping. I use evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, DBT, and trauma-focused therapies, while focusing on your strengths and goals. Clients often describe me as supportive, genuine, and willing to challenge them when needed to help them grow.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to connect and begin building a comfortable working relationship. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, any current concerns you're experiencing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I'll answer any questions you have and create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace. Together, we'll begin identifying goals and creating a path forward that feels right for you.
