Great to meet you!

Welcome! With over thirty years practicing psychotherapy, Betsy specializes in transformative trauma therapies that may heal many conditions including anxiety, depression, grief, codependency, and trauma. I enjoy helping clients live more in the present moment and find greater peace. I received my master's degree in counseling psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School, Keene, NH 1992and my bachelor's degree in Transpersonal Psychology from Burlington College, Burlington, Vermont, 1987.

My approach to therapy

Betsy is trained in internal family systems therapy, "parts work", Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Somatic Experiencing. She uses these innovative methods to help clients get to the root of their problems, release old burdens, and live with greater peace in the present moment. She teaches mindfulness, creative visualization, the law of attraction. She helps clients transform internal dialogue from critical to positive and self-affirming.

What you can expect from me

Clients will learn self-compassion and self-care which are the basis for all healing. Clients describe feeling relief and lighter after trauma sessions. They will experience greater confidence and empowerment. They will learn to manage and lead their emotions and their inner dialogue so that they can obtain peace in any moment. They will decrease codependency and increase positive boundaries with others. They will learn to walk away from emotionally abusive relationships.
