Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical addiction specialist with 21 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship stress, life transitions, and substance use or recovery concerns. My clinical training in social work and addiction treatment allows me to look at the whole person—not just a diagnosis—and understand how stress, relationships, work, identity, past experiences, and coping patterns can all affect mental health.

I work especially well with men and LGBTQ+ adults who may appear successful or put-together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, burned out, disconnected, or stuck internally. My style is warm, direct, practical, and collaborative. I draw from CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care to help clients better understand patterns, build healthier coping strategies, improve relationships, and make meaningful changes that carry into everyday life.

My goal is to create a space where therapy feels approachable, useful, and grounded in real life—not overly clinical or one-size-fits-all.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, direct, practical, and collaborative. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest without feeling judged, while also making meaningful progress toward the changes you want. I work with clients to identify patterns, understand what is driving stress or emotional reactions, and develop practical strategies that can be used in everyday life.

I specialize in working with adults, especially men and LGBTQ+ clients, who are dealing with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship stress, burnout, life transitions, and substance use or recovery concerns. I draw from CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed approaches, adjusting treatment to fit the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all model.

Sessions may focus on emotional regulation, healthier coping, boundaries, communication, relationships, recovery, or changing patterns that are no longer working. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, confident, connected, and able to move forward with greater clarity.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and understand what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what has been feeling difficult, how it is affecting your day-to-day life, what you have already tried, and what you would like to be different. I’ll also ask some questions about your history, relationships, stressors, and strengths so I can better understand the whole picture.

You do not need to arrive with everything figured out or know exactly what to say. My goal is to make the first session feel comfortable, conversational, and useful. Before we finish, we’ll begin identifying priorities for treatment and discuss what working together could look like moving forward.
