Great to meet you!

I have practiced behavioral therapy for ten years following my 2012 graduation from University of North Carolina in Wilmington. The populations I have served during that time have varied greatly. I have worked with children, teens, adults as well as people with dual diagnoses of mental health and developmental disability. I am currently working with the military population where I do individual and couples therapy.

My approach to therapy

The therapeutic models that I use to aid me in helping my clients are: narrative therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I have experience with clients that have symptoms of anxiety, trauma, depression, traumatic brain injury, low self-esteem, poor self image, self-critical, impulsivity related to anger, difficulty adjusting, grief, and loss.

What you can expect from me

My treatment approaches include learning what brings my clients joy, what they enjoy doing, who is important to them, and goals they have. I then dig deep into these elements to identify value system, core values, and how clients view themselves. From there, I ask in what way I can assist them to get to the destination they want to get to. The destination can be a mental, emotional, or physical. Also, the destination can be interpersonal.
