Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a board certified LCSW with over 15 years of practice experience with military personnel and their families. I retired from the U.S. Army in 2022 and my first experience with behavioral health was as a client following my first combat deployment. Therapy gave me an opportunity to heal in a non-judgmental environment and helped me return mentally and emotionally. Needless to say, I became a convert to the process and aim to help others find that safe environment to sort their stuff out.

My approach to therapy

I understand the unique stressors of service life and integrate cultural awareness into my clinical work using a trauma-informed care approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support healing. I'm generally conversational in session and don't mind using humor appropriately. By collaboratively tailoring therapy to each client’s story and relationships, you can build resilience, connection, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session where you tell your story and let me know what your expectations for therapy are. Therapy is a collaborative process so together, we'll identify the goals that are most meaningful to you and work toward lasting change. The therapeutic relationship is foundational to the work we're going to do and I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered to grow. From there, you can decide whether we're a good fit to continue working together.
