Hi! My name is Christen (Kris-tin). I have my Masters in Science from Rutgers University in Rehabilitation Counseling: Clinical Mental Health. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in NJ and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. As a CRC, I have a specialization in disabilities and vocational counseling. I have over 20 years of experience in human services and I have worked a lot with people with anxiety, depression, psychosis, chronic illness, ADHD, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy a lot in order to help clients change their thinking, which affects emotions and behavior. I also love to use ACT therapy which is about accepting how you feel and living according to your values, I am a person centered therapist and I believe that YOU are the expert of your own life. I am nonjudgmental and focus on your strengths. I am also trained in DBT and narrative therapies.

We will work on decreasing your symptoms and increasing your feelings of fulfillment and joy. You will walk away feeling heard and accepted.
