Great to meet you!

I have always been interested in mental health due to my own life experiences, as well as the experiences of loved ones around me. I know that as humans, one moment we can be ok and in a heartbeat- everything can change. I am a doctorally prepared Nurse Practitioner with more than 8 years of experience and I have a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community. I believe that our mental health is the foundation for all else. We cannot be physically well if we are not mentally well.

My approach to therapy

I begin with a 10-minute consultation phone call where we talk about your goals and my services to make sure that I am a good fit for your needs. I describe my role as that of a driving instructor- You tell me where you want to go and I will help you get there (but you do the driving). I use medication, cognitive behavioral therapy, or both to help you reach your goals.

What you can expect from me

I take a client-centered approach and it is my mission to create an inclusive environment that is welcoming to all. We will set short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals together. I define success as making progress toward your goals.
