Great to meet you!

I'm an accomplished Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and healthcare leader with over two decades of experience spanning clinical practice, federal healthcare administration, and risk management. Currently serving at Innovative Behavioral Medicine LLC, I deliver advanced health assessments, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and psychotropic medication management, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care for diverse mental health needs.

Previously, I've held pivotal roles in federal agencies:

  • U.S. Public Health Service
  • U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
  • United States Marshals Service
  • Federal Bureau of Prisons.

My leadership in risk management programs involved developing strategic policies, advising senior managers, and managing nationwide initiatives to mitigate liability and enhance healthcare outcomes across 23 ICE detention facilities.

I have extensive experience in quality assurance, infection control, and program management, ensuring compliance with federal standards and driving performance improvement in correctional health systems.

I hold the following degrees:

  • Post-Master Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Drexel University
  • MSN/MBA from Waynesburg University
  • BSN from Pennsylvania State University.
  • Board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

I'm licensed to practice in:

  • Maryland
  • Delaware
  • Washington, DC
  • Virginia
  • Pennsylvania
  • Hawaii

My expertise encompasses medication management, risk management, quality improvement, telemedicine, and electronic health records, positioning me as a trusted leader in advancing mental health care and organizational excellence.

My approach to therapy

Initially, I provide a comprehensive evaluation that takes about one hour. Then, I provide patients with multiple treatment options, explaining the pros and cons of each treatment. Afterwards, I let the patient decide which treatment to try.

What you can expect from me

Initially, the client and I develop reasonable and measurable goals to achieve optimal functioning and remission of symptoms. Follow-up appointments will focus on efficacy via outcome measures with evaluation of treatment and changes made if necessary. Patients can opt for in-person or virtual appointments depending on their preference. Evening and Saturday appointments are also available.
