My name is Cory Owens-Batty and I have worked with youth and families for the entirety of my 20+ year career through a variety of roles. I have my Masters Degree in Social Work and am a licensed clinician in New England. As an individual, I am a juxtaposition of weird and hippy. I love dogs, Sci-fi and fandoms, Halloween, and being on my yoga mat. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults and find hope in walking with them on their journeys.
Therapy is a balance of clinical needs and human goals. I bring a sense of humor and a no-nonsense approach to therapy. I have extensive experience with CBT and DBT and believe in the fact that people cannot fail in their own journey. I strive to find the balance of acceptance and change and work to partner with clients to discover the best strategy for their unique situation.
I work with clients to develop their own targets for therapy. My goal is to serve as a mirror and safe place to explore a client's own personal wisdom; to unpack and pull away layers that have prevented them from seeing it on their own. Leaving a session, clients should feel validated and challenged to look deeper, in order to reach their goals.
