Great to meet you!

I'm Cub Larkin, a Licensed Therapist (FL, IL, MA, ME & OR) with over a decade of experience supporting individuals, couples, and those in non-traditional relationship structures. I hold a Master of Science in Counseling and carry multiple advanced certifications, including in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).

My practice is rooted in affirming, nonjudgmental care for communities that are often underserved or misunderstood in traditional therapeutic settings — including queer and LGBTQ+ individuals, those in kink, leather, polyamorous, and consensually non-monogamous (CNM) relationships, and people navigating complex identity and relational dynamics. I believe every person deserves a therapist who truly gets who they are without requiring explanation or justification.

My approach to therapy

My approach is fundamentally person-centered, meaning I follow your lead and honor your lived experience as the foundation of our work together. I integrate evidence-based modalities including EMDR for trauma processing, CBT for patterns of thought and behavior, and SSP for nervous system regulation. I bring warmth, directness, and a genuine curiosity about who you are and what you need.

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Whether you're processing trauma, navigating relationship complexity, exploring identity, or simply trying to feel more like yourself, I tailor our work to fit you — not the other way around.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about connection and context. I'll spend time getting to know you — what brings you to therapy, what your life looks like, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before we meet. You can come as you are.

I'll also take time to answer any questions you have about my approach, confidentiality, and what ongoing sessions might look like. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling heard, understood, and clear on whether we're a good fit.
