My approach to therapy

E. Kimberly Dunbar takes an integrative and client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from several evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. She skillfully blends elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based approaches. This allows her to support clients in understanding the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also exploring deeper patterns rooted in past experiences.

Kimberly emphasizes emotional regulation, self-awareness, and present-moment grounding, creating a compassionate and structured environment that fosters healing, growth, and long-term resilience.
