Great to meet you!

Hey, there, I'm Emily! I have been working as a therapist for the past seven years providing services to people of all ages. I enjoy counseling individuals of all cultures including people of all gender identities and sexual orientations. I specialize in anxiety but can assist in with a variety of concerns.

My approach to therapy

How we view ourselves impacts how we interact with the world around us, yet, we often are not fully aware of how we view ourselves. I provide a space for people to increase self-awareness and learn to use this awareness to their advantage.

I use a humanistic approach to therapy and I will pull from a variety of approaches as needed (emotion-focused, somatic experiencing, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused, mindfulness, and more).

What you can expect from me

When working with me, you can expect to have a safe, nonjudgmental space to express any challenges you are facing. You can expect flexibility in how sessions are conducted. If you prefer me to guide and provide structure, I can do this for you. Conversely, if you prefer to take the lead with sessions I can give you the space to do so. You can expect me to actively listen to understand what really matters to you and help you use this information to guide decisions and choices.
