Great to meet you!

Maybe you have spent so much time trying to keep everything together that you have not had much space to think about how you are actually doing. Anxiety may be making it difficult to quiet your mind, past experiences may still affect how you feel or respond today, or you may be navigating changes in your identity, relationships, or life that have left you feeling uncertain about what comes next. You deserve a place where you can slow down, feel understood, and explore what you are carrying without judgment. I am a therapist who works with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma and PTSD, women’s issues, and cultural or ethnic concerns. I also support clients through depression, grief and loss, relationship and family challenges, identity concerns, life transitions, stress, anger, panic, and physical health concerns. Whether you know exactly what you want to work on or simply know that something needs to change, we can start where you are and work toward feeling more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.

My approach to therapy

I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be completely yourself without worrying about saying the right thing or having everything figured out. Together, we will get curious about the experiences, emotions, relationships, and patterns that have shaped how you see yourself and respond to the world around you. If anxiety or panic has you constantly anticipating what could go wrong, we can work on slowing those thoughts down and finding ways to feel more present. If trauma or painful experiences continue to affect your relationships, confidence, or sense of safety, we can process them at a pace that feels manageable. We can also make room for grief, depression, family stress, identity questions, life transitions, and the emotional impact of physical health concerns. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, using these approaches flexibly so therapy fits you rather than expecting you to fit a particular method.

What you can expect from me

Our first few sessions are about helping me understand you as a person, not just the symptoms or circumstances that brought you to therapy. We will talk about what has been happening, what feels hardest right now, what you have already tried, and what you hope life could look or feel like with the right support. From there, we will decide together what we want to focus on and set goals that feel meaningful to you. You can expect me to listen closely, create space for difficult conversations, and support you while also helping you recognize patterns and possibilities you may not have noticed on your own. Over time, progress might mean feeling calmer when anxiety shows up, understanding your triggers, trusting yourself more, setting healthier boundaries, feeling more secure in your relationships, or moving through a difficult chapter with greater confidence. You do not have to make those changes all at once. We will take them one step at a time, together. When you are ready, you can schedule your first session with me through Headway.
