Ms. Fidela is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, License #64978. Ms. Fidela was born and raised in the Lower Rio Grande Valley next to the US/Mexico border. She was the first in her family to earn her high school diploma, attend college and earn her first master’s degree in Education from the University of Texas. Subsequently earning a second master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in practice with Hispanic children and families from Our Lady of the Lake University.

My approach to therapy

Ms. Fidela has clinical experience working with individual, group, and family structures experiencing clinical implications of trauma, anxiety, depression, and anger management in our everyday lives. She mostly integrates psychodynamic, attachment, family systems, multicultural, expressive arts, play therapy, EMDR, and CBT orientations to help target the unique individualized needs of clients in a culturally sensitive, trauma-focused, client-centered, strength-based approach.
