Great to meet you!

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Western Michigan University and have been a licensed LMSW since 2013. I also hold specialty certifications in substance use treatment (CAADC) and clinical supervision (CCS). I work with young adults, adults, and seniors navigating anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, grief/loss, substance use concerns, and life transitions.

Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware people who feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck despite understanding their struggles intellectually. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to slow down, process their experiences, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and person-centered. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused, Somatic, and mindfulness approaches to help clients better understand themselves while also building tools for change. I often work with clients who spend a lot of time in their heads and want help reconnecting with their emotions, body, and sense of balance. Therapy with me is supportive and nonjudgmental, while also encouraging growth, insight, and meaningful action.

I know taking this first step can be intimidating; I applaud your strength and I am here to walk alongside you as you work towards change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, relevant background information, and what you hope to gain from the process. My goal is for clients to leave feeling heard, understood, and a little less alone, with a clearer sense of how we can work together moving forward.
