Great to meet you!
I started working in mental health in 2010. During the beginning of my journey I did worked as a care provider in homes of those struggling with a variety of mental health and intellectual disabilities. I did internships at agencies that advocated for the rights of various ethnic groups and the LGBT community. I also helped with a research project that studies fellow veterans to better understand and advocate for their various needs. My last intern site was at a day treatment program working with duel diagnoses and continued at this agency after completing my bachelor's degree in social work.
I continued my journey at this agency as I pursued my master's degree in social work and had done individual counseling for mental health and substance abuse. I provided groups around various topics and needs of the patients at this agency, such as grief groups, skills building, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), etc.
I later started working for the State of Idaho as part of their crisis team. Providing a variety of individual and group therapy for members of the community without insurance. I had provided comprehensive mental health assessments for the courts as my role as a designated examiner, where we evaluated mental health needs for those placed on mental health holds. I had also started a program to aid county jails with mental health services while I was working for the State of Idaho.
In 2021 I moved to Oregon and started providing individual Counseling and later transitioned to working as a behavioral health consultant . As a behavioral health consultant I have worked with a wide range of ages with a variety of physical and mental health symptoms.
I love the work that I do and I strive to provide my clients with quality care. If you feel I could be a good fit for you please reach out.
