Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated clinician committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate care to individuals navigating the impact of complex trauma. My therapeutic approach is informed by a comprehensive academic foundation, including a PhD in Social Work from the University at Albany and a Master of Social Work from Boston College.

My professional background is extensive, spanning executive leadership, clinical social work, and academic instruction. This diverse experience allows me to view client needs through a multifaceted lens, ensuring that my private practice remains grounded in both clinical rigor and systemic understanding. As an EMDRIA Certified TherapistTM, I prioritize the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to assist clients in processing traumatic memories and mitigating psychological distress.

I am deeply committed to expanding access to high-quality, trauma-informed care and am currently licensed to practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Texas, Florida, and Michigan. Whether working with youth or adults, my primary goal is to foster a secure, supportive environment where clients can achieve stabilization and meaningful recovery.

My approach to therapy

I believe that healing begins with a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood. My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide you with the evidence-based tools you need to navigate through difficult experiences and find a path toward peace.

Because I know that trauma and life’s challenges can affect us in many different ways, I draw upon my extensive clinical background to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. As an EMDRIA Certified TherapistTM, I often use EMDR therapy to help you process painful memories and reduce the distress they cause, allowing you to move forward with a greater sense of clarity and calm. My priority is always to foster a warm, steady, and compassionate environment where you can feel secure in your journey toward recovery.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step toward starting therapy can feel like a big decision, and my goal for our first session is to make that process as comfortable and welcoming as possible. You can expect our initial time together to be a relaxed, collaborative conversation where we focus on getting to know one another.

This first meeting is really about you—it’s a chance for you to share what has been on your mind, what you are hoping to achieve, and for us to see if we are a good fit to work together. I will ask questions to better understand your history and your current goals, but there is no pressure to dive into anything you aren’t ready to discuss. My priority is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and heard, so we can begin to build a foundation of trust and plan a path forward that feels right for you.
