Great to meet you!

I grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota, where I learned early on about the quiet strength and unique challenges that come with small-town life. That background gives me a deep understanding of the nuances of rural living where community can run deep, but mental health struggles can often feel isolating or misunderstood. I create a safe, down-to-earth space for clients who are navigating trauma, anxiety, or the lasting effects of difficult relationships.

My approach to therapy

I work with adults who feel disconnected, stuck, or unsure how to move forward after painful experiences. Healing can feel like learning to read the weather within yourself—recognizing when storms are building, when fog is lifting, and when you can finally feel the sun again. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and focused on helping you reconnect with your body, your emotions, and your sense of direction.

What you can expect from me

The first session is typically an intake, where I gather information about your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. It’s also a chance for you to get a feel for my style and ask any questions about the process. While the session is structured, my approach is still warm and conversational. I want you to feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. By the end, we’ll have a clearer understanding of what’s bringing you in and how we can start working toward the changes you want to see.
