Great to meet you!

HI, I'm John! I have been working within the mental health industry for the past seven years in many different settings. Collaborating with clients and helping them navigate their world is what I consider my specialty and passion. I'm pretty casual and believe in having a human experience with my clients. Being warm and authentic with unconditional positive regard is the backbone of my practice.

My approach to therapy

Having lived with mental health issues most of my life, I consider myself to have found a method of living that includes managing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress, and grief through skills, acceptance, breathwork, exercise, and mindfulness-based practices. I am also trained in IFS therapy which provides profound healing of wounded parts of ourselves from our past.

What you can expect from me

It is my hope that clients achieve a sense of curiosity and compassion toward themselves and toward others. Empathy and peace of mind is my goal, and I try to model this essential skill in session. Most of us have a difficult time recognizing our strengths, but with practice and exploration, we can both notice and leverage our strengths into our daily lives to reduce the discomfort of mental health disturbances.
