Great to meet you!

With over a decade of counseling experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and compassion to my practice. I earned my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. I enjoy working with women of all ages who identify as Christians. I have knowledge and experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and life transition issues.

My approach to therapy

Establishing a good foundation for your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health is vital. We evaluate and develop protective factors such as personal support, exercise, sleep habits, and healthy personal outlets. I integrate humanistic therapies such as CBT, DBT, ACT, parts work, narrative, and experiential therapies, as well as psycho-education, to teach skills to manage symptoms. For personal growth, I integrate a "relational" form of psychotherapy and psychodynamic theory. We will examine unconscious and conscious thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that can inhibit interpersonal and intrapersonal effectiveness. In addition, I use my approaches to accommodate the needs of those who identify as Christians, especially as it relates to our relationship with others, ourselves, and our relationship with Jesus Christ.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me is engaging and collaborative. I've been told I have a disarming, comfortable yet challenging style. I strive to create a warm, humorous, and thoughtful environment that is energetic yet down-to-earth. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to inspiring change and hope.
