Great to meet you!

I'm excited to see how I can support and work with you to address your symptoms. I am a licensed master's social worker, graduating with my MSW in 2016 from the University of Nebraska Omaha. I take an individual and strengths-based approach to therapy, and specialize in working with adults who deal with trauma, insomnia, depression, substance use disorders, and anxiety. I hope to cultivate an accepting and empowering environment where you can feel supported and challenged to progress.

My approach to therapy

Each person and situation is unique, and I draw on my experience and training to find the best ways to support you in your mental health goals. I have specialized training to treat insomnia (CBT-i), post traumatic stress disorder (EMDR), and pain management and substance use disorders (Mindfulness Oriented Recovery Enhancement). I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing techniques, and solution focused therapy.

What you can expect from me

I want to get to know you and understand the main issues that are motivating you to seek therapy right now. This means we will spend some time talking about your history, current life situation, and prior experiences in therapy. I also want to be sure you can walk away with something useful from our first session, and leave time towards the end of our time to discuss some immediate interventions for you to try.
