Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Joe Klemz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified EMDR Therapist. I specialize in helping adults work through trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences using EMDR therapy and other evidence-based approaches. I offer both weekly sessions and EMDR intensives, depending on what best fits your needs and goals. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, focused on helping you reconnect with your own capacity to heal and move forward. I provide virtual therapy across multiple states, making care accessible and flexible.

My approach to therapy

I show up as a real person in the room, and I work to create a space where you can do the same. My approach is strengths-based and grounded in EMDR therapy, helping your brain process what has felt stuck so you can move forward with more clarity and stability. I pay attention to both what you are experiencing and how your nervous system is holding it. Together, we go at a pace that feels manageable while still moving toward meaningful change. I offer both weekly sessions and intensives, depending on what fits your needs.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we start by slowing things down and getting a clear sense of what’s bringing you in, without rushing into anything overwhelming. I’ll ask some questions to understand your story, your goals, and what you’re hoping will feel different moving forward. We’ll also begin identifying what type of work fits you best. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and not judged, so you can show up as you are. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer direction and a sense of what working together will look like.
