Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes mental health care should feel a lot more human and a lot less like being talked at for 15 minutes and handed a prescription. My background includes emergency, critical care, and procedural nursing, so I’m naturally curious about the whole picture—not just a diagnosis on a chart.

I especially enjoy working with women dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, PMDD, burnout, and the emotional chaos that can come with perimenopause and other major life transitions. My approach is evidence-based, hormone-informed, collaborative, and very much “you stay in the driver’s seat.”

I’m not interested in throwing medications at symptoms and hoping something sticks. I want to understand what’s going on in your brain, your body, and your actual life so we can build a treatment plan that makes sense for you. Expect questions, education, honesty, a little humor when appropriate, and a provider who genuinely wants you to feel heard instead of dismissed.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, curious, and practical. I want to understand what’s actually happening in your life, not just check boxes and match symptoms to a diagnosis.

I specialize in working with women dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, PMDD, burnout, and mood changes related to perimenopause and other hormonal shifts. I’m especially interested in how hormones, sleep, stress, relationships, physical health, and nervous-system overload can all pile on top of each other and make you feel like a completely different person.

Medication can absolutely be part of treatment, but I don’t believe in throwing prescriptions at symptoms and hoping for the best. I’ll explain the why behind recommendations, talk through options with you, and make sure you feel comfortable with the plan. You stay in the driver’s seat, and my job is to help you make sense of the map.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about slowing things down enough to understand the whole picture. We’ll talk through what brought you in, what has and hasn’t worked before, your current symptoms, medications, sleep, stress, hormones, medical history, and what you actually want to feel different.

My goal is to create a space that feels comfortable, collaborative, and judgment-free. You can expect questions, education, and a real conversation—not an interrogation or a rushed checklist.

By the end of the visit, I want you to leave with a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to how you’re feeling and a treatment plan that makes sense to you. We’ll decide on next steps together, and you’ll always know the reasoning behind my recommendations.
