Kevyn Monier, MSW, LMSW, is a Clinical Social Worker and performance-focused mental health provider with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of elite athletics, clinical care, and military behavioral health. As a former Athletic Counselor at the University of Michigan, he provides high-level performance coaching and mental health services to Division I student-athletes, supporting multiple Big Ten individual champions as well as contributing to the success of Big Ten Championship and National Championship teams. His work integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches with performance psychology to enhance focus, resilience, emotional regulation, and competitive mindset, while also delivering team-based psychoeducation and consultation to coaching staff to strengthen overall program performance and culture. In addition to his work in collegiate athletics, Kevyn served as a Behavioral Health Officer in the Army National Guard, achieving the rank of Captain, where he conducted fitness-for-duty evaluations, provided clinical counseling, crisis intervention, and leadership support in high-stakes and austere environments, shaping his expertise in trauma, resilience, and operational readiness. He also specializes in the treatment of insomnia using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), helping athletes, military personnel, and high performers improve sleep, recovery, and overall performance through sustainable, evidence-based interventions. Kevyn’s clinical approach draws from CBT, ACT, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, and Cognitive Processing Therapy, allowing him to effectively support individuals facing anxiety, trauma, performance challenges, and dual diagnosis concerns while optimizing both mental health and peak performance.
