Hi, I'm Kirsten and I'm a independently licensed social worker in MD, D.C., VA, and MN!

I’m so glad you’ve taken the courageous step to seek support for yourself or someone you care about, and honored you've found your way here. Over the years, I’ve worked in both outpatient mental health and substance use treatment settings, as well as crisis prevention and intervention, supporting clients with a wide range of needs — from anxiety, trauma, and mood disorders to life transitions and relationship challenges. For the past four years, I’ve been in private practice, working with kids, teens, adults, and couples.

I am a relatively open, eclectic therapist. I like to pull from a bunch of different areas to ensure treatment is catered to you. I am also a huge brain nerd and am open to throwing in information around how certain conditions or cognitions work in the brain.

I hope that through our sessions together, we can process through your concerns in a supportive, safe place, and we can come up with some small, practical steps that might help.
