Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Makenzie Walters, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout their healing journey. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and sharing openly. I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, and trauma-related concerns. My goal is to help clients feel heard while building practical tools and confidence to navigate life’s challenges in a healthier and more balanced way.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I work closely with clients to better understand their experiences, strengths, and challenges while creating a treatment approach that feels supportive and effective for them. I utilize evidence-based techniques while focusing on building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, authenticity, and empathy. I aim to create an environment where clients feel safe exploring difficult emotions, gaining insight, and developing meaningful coping strategies for long-term growth and healing.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to feel welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free. My priority during the initial session is getting to know you, current challenges, goals for therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I focus on creating a comfortable environment where clients feel heard, respected, and at ease. Together, we will begin identifying goals and building a plan that supports your personal growth, emotional well-being, and overall healing journey.
