Margaret is an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in outpatient medication management and brief psychotherapy. Margaret works primarily with adults and geriatric clients and is certified to prescribe Buprenorphine to clients with opiate use disorders. She also treats various issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
Margaret wants to empower more people to get the care they need by giving them affordable, accessible treatment. She knows that providing empathic mental health and substance abuse treatment is key to helping underserved populations heal and thrive.
I know it can be a little nerve-wracking to meet a new provider; In our initial session, I will ask some nosy questions so I can understand what’s been going on. But don’t worry, you can ask me nosey questions if you want to. I’ll answer any questions you have. After I ask my questions, I’ll share my thoughts and observations about what you’ve told me to ensure I understand correctly. Then, we will collaborate on a plan to help you feel better.
