Great to meet you!
Every person possess a capacity for Self-Healing which can become blocked, weakened or disrupted by stress, trauma, injury, and physical illness.
-
In Mind-Body Healing, "plasticity" refers to our flexibility, adaptability, and resilience -- our ability to bounce back, pick ourselves up and move forward. Stress and trauma can reduce our resilience and restrict our ability to stretch (grow), bend, and adapt to changes in our lives, mates, work and relationships.
- Stress can block the flow of positive energy we give and receive at home and work, even with those we love. Repeated stress or traumatic experiences in childhood and adult life can shift our personal energy from positive to negative, weakening optimism and darkening one's outlook. Left unchecked, stress can permanently lock-in negative beliefs, feelings and expectations, make us tense and rigid, and block bounce-back, resilience needed to return to normal growth, balance and happiness.

STRESS FACTS
We have been taught to minimize stress because its effects can remain hidden until they erupt in serious physical, emotional, and psychological disorders and diseases.
-
Stress can overwhelm and lock-up our adaptability and drain us of optimism and the energies which make life flow like water, music, or the soothing voice of a friend.
Stress can imbalance ("dysregulate") brain and nervous system function, making it difficult to regain your balance, positive energy, and your ability to bounce-back from stress, illness or injury.
