Great to meet you!

Life can be hard. My approach to therapy is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where we can build a strong therapeutic relationship. Together, we will explore the challenges you’re facing and identify opportunities for growth, healing, and change. My goal is to empower you with tools and insight so that you can make choices that bring greater ease, balance, and fulfillment to your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where we can build a strong therapeutic relationship. I will support you through our collaborative work in addressing harm, developing healthy coping strategies, and facilitating healing. Together, we will explore your feelings and behaviors in ways that empower you to make positive and lasting change.

My primary treatment model begins with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a skill-based and educational approach that teaches practical tools for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and building resilience. With over 20 years of training and experience in DBT, I guide clients in developing skills they can carry into daily life.

I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, which helps you connect with your inner strengths while compassionately exploring the different “parts” of yourself that may hold pain, fear, or unmet needs. By combining DBT’s structure and skill-building with IFS’s depth and self-compassion, I aim to support you in creating balance, self-understanding, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Many people develop defense patterns as a way to protect themselves from painful or unconscious experiences rooted in early childhood or trauma. In our work together, we will focus on creating safety and stability first, building a strong base of skills that allow for deeper healing. These skills help you feel grounded and supported, making it possible to explore unresolved pain, connect with your inner child, and begin breaking cycles of generational trauma.

I use a 7-Step Healing Process that integrates the structure of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with the depth of Internal Family Systems (IFS). DBT provides practical, skill-based tools for managing emotions, improving relationships, and creating balance. IFS helps you compassionately connect with the different “parts” of yourself, fostering understanding and healing at a core level.

Through this process, you can expect:

  1. Building safety and trust in the therapeutic relationship.
  2. Learning practical DBT skills to manage intense emotions.
  3. Developing awareness of protective defenses and coping strategies.
  4. Exploring inner parts and uncovering core needs with IFS.
  5. Reconnecting with your inner child and unmet emotional needs.
  6. Integrating new insights into daily life with supportive structure.
  7. Creating lasting change, resilience, and freedom from generational cycles.

Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and empowering. My role is to provide both the structure and compassion you need to move toward lasting healing and meaningful change.
