Great to meet you!

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I understand that many people who seek treatment have spent years trying to manage their struggles on their own. They may appear successful and capable on the outside—showing up for work, caring for their families, meeting responsibilities, and accomplishing goals—while privately feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, scattered, or stuck. My role is not simply to prescribe medication or treat symptoms. I am committed to helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your experiences, and the factors that may be contributing to the challenges you're facing. I believe mental health care is most effective when you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your treatment. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you can be yourself without feeling rushed, dismissed, or misunderstood.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, personalized, and centered around your unique needs, goals, values, and lifestyle. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I work with clients to explore the underlying patterns and experiences that may be affecting their mental health and daily functioning. Whether you're struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, burnout, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or challenges with focus and executive functioning, we will work together to develop a treatment plan that supports meaningful and lasting progress. Treatment may include medication management, therapy-informed interventions, practical coping strategies, skill building, lifestyle recommendations, or a combination of approaches tailored specifically to your situation. I believe that every individual deserves care that is thoughtful, evidence-based, and designed to help them move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a strong foundation for treatment. During this appointment, we will take time to discuss the concerns that brought you in, your current symptoms, personal history, life circumstances, and the goals you hope to achieve through treatment. Many clients come to their first appointment feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or frustrated after years of trying to "push through" their struggles without fully understanding what is driving them. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can openly share your experiences and feel genuinely heard. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, exploring potential contributing factors, and discussing treatment options that align with your needs. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the next steps and a personalized plan designed to help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and support.
