Great to meet you!

Welcome! Taking that first step toward therapy takes a lot of courage, and it is a true privilege to connect with you. The path here blends a diverse background in banking, child welfare, and vocational rehabilitation, which brings a deep appreciation for the practical, real-world challenges we face every day. Following several years working as a family therapist in Nebraska, focus has shifted back to individual adult therapy since June 2023. Together, we can work on breaking down barriers and finding a meaningful, supportive path forward for your well-being.

My approach to therapy

In therapy sessions you can expect practical, goal-oriented care with a collaborative approach. Combining a strong Midwestern work ethic with genuine curiosity, the focus is on partnering with you to create meaningful change. Specializations include helping adults navigate past trauma, relationship difficulties, and panic attacks. Sessions are active and engaged, prioritizing clear goals and real-world steps you can take outside of therapy to improve daily life.

What you can expect from me

In the 1st session, I get to know your strengths, talents, interest and hobbies. The relationship between us is the greatest predictor of your outcome in therapy. As a result, I introduce myself and aspects about me to help you get a sense of who I am, so your not sharing personal, deep hurts with a complete stranger, which can be a big hurdle to entering therapy. A history taking about family, childhood, romantic relationships, current symptoms and how those are impacting your present day life, will be gathered. I look forward to seeing you if I am therapist you decide to work with. By the 2nd session a treatment goal is collaboratively created with your guidance about where you would like to be in the future and a roadmap about how to get there is clearly communicated.
